MMIMS is a special event set up for minority males who are pursuing a career in medicine.  According to the 2015 AAMC report, there were fewer black males in medical school than there were in 1978.  At this event, one has the opportunity to network with minority medical professionals while attending a pleasant dinner. There is also a significant lack of representation of Latino males in medicine. Through this event, we hope to continue motivating and inspiring University of Maryland pre-medicine students to keep a clear eye view of their career aspirations.
